Web analytics
In-app traffic without any external analytics stack.
Web analytics shows how merchants move through your app's own pages: total page views, unique shops, sessions, and average session length, with a daily trend and every page ranked by traffic.
There is nothing extra to install beyond the PartnerConsole Pixel, which sends page views automatically. A page view is simply a usage event named page_view carrying a path, so your backend can also send them through Usage events. No Google Analytics, no BigQuery, no cookie banners.
How sessions are counted
Views from the same shop (and session key, if your app sends one) are grouped into a session until there is a gap of more than 30 minutes. Average session length is the time between the first and last view inside a session.
The pages table
Every page in your app, ranked by views, with each page's share of the total and how many distinct shops visited it. Pages are grouped by their normalized route, so /orders/123 and /orders/456 count as one screen.
Use it to find where merchants actually spend time. A settings page outranking your core feature usually means friction; a feature page nobody visits usually means a discovery problem, not a quality problem.
Click any page to see exactly who viewed it: the shops driving its traffic, each visit with its time and country, and a straight line into any customer's profile.
Sending page views
The Pixel handles this for you. If you'd rather report from your backend, send on every page load:
{
"eventName": "page_view",
"customerId": "example.myshopify.com",
"path": "/orders",
"sessionKey": "optional-browser-session-id"
}
