Usage metrics
Adoption per event, plus calculations you define.
Usage metrics turns the event stream into numbers you can watch. The page shows a card per event: total volume, how many distinct shops triggered it, and a daily trend.
The metric builder
Above the cards is a builder for custom calculations. Pick an event, a calculation, and (for numeric calculations) a property:
- Count: how many times the event happened.
- Distinct shops: how many different shops triggered it.
- Sum / Average / Min / Max of a property: math over a numeric property your app sends, for example the
valueon anorder_syncedevent, giving you total order value processed per day.
The same calculations are available programmatically through the usage events report API, bucketed daily, weekly, or monthly.
