Data sources
Everywhere PartnerConsole gets its data, and what each source unlocks.
PartnerConsole combines four kinds of data. Knowing which source feeds which feature helps you decide what to connect next.
Shopify Partner API (automatic)
The foundation. Once your Shopify Partners connection is set up, installs, subscriptions, transactions, MRR, churn and the whole customer lifecycle sync on their own. Every report under Reports and every customer page runs on this. Nothing to build.
Your app, through the developer API
What only your app knows: contact emails, custom fields, and in-app behavior (usage events, page views). This powers segments, flows, the Behavior section, and activation funnels, all through one HTTP call per update.
Your app's database (PostgreSQL)
For computed data that would be tedious to push event by event, connect a read-only PostgreSQL user and map SQL queries to custom fields. The console re-runs them on a schedule.
Google Analytics 4 via BigQuery
The App Store listing itself: page views, the install funnel, ad clicks, and which search terms drive installs. Shopify's Partner Dashboard sends these events to GA4; GA4 exports them to BigQuery; PartnerConsole reads BigQuery. Setup takes about ten minutes and needs no keys: Connect BigQuery.
